Traditional Norway Spruce
The Norway Spruce is considered the quintessential original Christmas tree and has been grown in the UK since Victorian times. Its classic shape, look and fresh scent all contribute to that traditional and nostalgic Christmas feeling. With a dark green foliage, a good symmetrical conical shape and thin prickly needles that sit sharply rigid, the Norway Spruce is perfect for hanging those decorations. We recommend watering a spruce regularly and for optimal retention of the needles.
Rainbow Wood Farm Christmas trees are carefully selected and freshly cut to ensure that only the best trees are available for our customers.
When you receive your tree, it is best practice to cut a few inches from the bottom of the stump to encourage the tree to take up water, this is vital as your tree will require a constant supply of water to keep fresh. (Let us know if you don’t have the tools and we can do this for you!) We recommend purchasing a Christmas tree stand with a deep water reservoir that can be topped up every 1-2 days, this will ensure that your tree remains happy, healthy & vibrant throughout the Christmas period.

Premier Nordmann Firs
Currently, the best selling Christmas tree in the UK, Nordmann Firs are much loved for their symmetrical shape, hardiness and their glossy dark green foliage which is lightly scented. The Nordmann Fir is blessed with excellent needle retention, unlike some varieties, it will hold on to its needles as long as possible, they will start to slightly curl inward rather than completely fall off at first.
The branches are dark green on top with a silvery-blue hue underneath which creates an elegant two-tone appearance. The thick and glossy branches are less prickly than other Christmas tree varieties making it easier to handle.
