Payment details and booking confirmation

To confirm a bed and breakfast booking, we request a 50% deposit payment for the total cost of your stay. Deposits can be paid via a card payment over the phone, or we can supply BAC’s information for a transfer or a PayPal payment on request.

Once payment is received, you will receive an email or text message confirming the booking, balance paid and a card payment transaction receipt, if applicable. (Please note that we do not hold any credit or debit cards details for payments made over the phone.) The remaining payment for your stay is due on departure and can be paid by cash or card payment.

We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque, debit card or credit card (we are unable to accept AMEX or Diners Club cards).

Cancellation

In the unlikely event of your booking being cancelled or curtailed, we are entitled by law to charge for booked accommodation not taken up. However, we appreciate that some cases are uncontrollable and therefore we may make an exception in such cases. In the unlikely case of an illness or matters outside of your or our control, we will be happy to discuss alternative dates to uphold your deposit fee and will not charge the remaining payment until the departure of your postponed stay. Please note that we can only offer a deposit extension of up to 6 months.*

If cancellation occurs within 30 days of arrival, there will be no further charge for the balance of your booked stay.

Cancellation within 48hrs of arrival (or non-arrival or curtailment of stay) will result in a charge of the full balance.**

*We would be willing to discuss this in exceptional circumstances out of client or customer control.
**Regrettably, failure to provide payment will result in legal action.

Non-availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival & Departure

Your accommodation is available to you from 2pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.30am on the day of departure, (11 am on Sundays) unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation is payable on departure.

Damages and Breakages

You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you or any member of your party cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may ask for compensation, or we may send you an invoice, for any significant damages beyond suitable repair.

Liability

We do not accept liability for damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Children

We happily accept children. We recommend that younger children stay in The Clock Room, where there is more space, especially if you are bringing a travel cot.

Children are excepted in the other rooms, but please call or email to prearrange.

Pets

Please call to discuss. We do accept some dogs, depending on behaviour and type and only in specific rooms. BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.

Data

Any data gathered during the course of your booking may be held on computer. We execute appropriate protection of all personal information provided. We do not supply any personal information to any 3rd parties.
